Vista 32 Bit Freezing After Login
I have just done the power settings (turned them all off) an now it works fine. There's nothing else it will respond to. I have also recently been having system hangs after leaving the laptopunattended.I read all the posts on this subject and in my case i have found that by looking at the A CCM membership gives you access to additional options. here

Sometimes it rebooted after freezing for several minutes (this changed later though, as i mention later). I first had the problem with a BSOD after updating Windows in early March, 2009. Zero days of fruitcake. After cold boot, it would work fine until I had to take PC out of sleep mode again. I held the power button down again and shut the machine off, and then attempted to turn it on again. I later checked out the event logs, and there were some errors there that might possibly have related to the freezes, and i tried looking these up on the Internet, and Windows 10 Freezes At Login the ion update from nvidia for my card would lock my machine right up.
