Ben Crowl Thanks man.. Checking TestRunner's references, sure enough the reference to TestCleaner was marked as unresolved, and the path was missing from the reference properties. Glad it resolved the issue you were experiencing. Open "Developer Command Prompt" for your version of Visual Studio. Chances are you have a bug that's keeping it alive and are not stopping the debug process correctly - there are options to detach from the process when you click 'stop The solution was rather simple. Visual Studio Clean Failed and don't use the "Rebuild" option.

If all else fails, you can always use the MSBuild.exe in command prompt to build a projects. I never saw this problem under VS2013.
