I had to enable DotNet 3.5 feature in Windows 8, as indicated in below reference:Unfortunately, it kept complaining no connection to internet, hence installed using the "DISM" command. Vmware Vsphere Client Granting "Full Control" to \GAC worked fine. I'm very sorry for my late reply but things have been very busy!
